The Industrial Revolution was a period of time from 1760 – 1850 that included many drastic changes in agriculture, textile, transportation, and economic structure in England. With these changes came a sudden increase the production of food and raw materials, jobs, efficiency, and foreign relations due to the ability of consistent trade. With these great advances also came the steam engine. The steam engine allowed fast and easy travel across vast bodies of water for trade. The Industrial Revolution became a worldwide trend, as it not only benefitted economies, but also brought countries closer together. With better quality products and more food, the population began to grow at a faster rate than ever.
